What stays free?
Balanced class lists for a grade of up to 60 students in up to 3 classes, forever: the builder, friend requests, keep-apart pairs and sibling rules, the review grid with drag, locks and live warnings at any size, class lists, placement cards, the requests not met sheet, JSON backup and restore, the guide and the FAQ. No account is needed and nothing you type leaves your browser.
What does Premium add?
The builder on grades larger than 60 students or 3 classes, saved drafts, side by side comparison of two drafts, CSV download of the class lists, the principal summary printout, and teacher request rules.
Is the builder different in Premium?
No. The builder, its rules and its reasons are the same for everyone. Premium raises the size limit and adds drafts, comparison, CSV, the summary and teacher rules. It does not balance a free grade any differently.
What happens if I import a file with several drafts on the free plan?
Everything in the file is kept. The draft that was open in the file stays editable, and the others open read-only: you can view, print and export them, and Premium makes them editable again. Nothing is deleted.
How is my access stored?
Purchases are handled by RevenueCat and Stripe. An anonymous purchase id is kept in this browser so ClassSplit recognises your Premium on this device. Your class lists are never sent to either of them. Keep your receipt email for recovery.
I bought Premium on another browser or computer. How do I get it here?
Open the restore page and paste the access code shown on this Premium page, or the one from your receipt. Premium moves to this browser instantly. Your drafts move separately: save a backup file on the old browser and restore it here.
Can I cancel, and can I get a refund?
Yes. The weekly and yearly plans renew automatically and can be cancelled anytime from the link in your receipt email; lifetime is a one time payment. Refunds are covered by the Refunds section of the terms of use, which is the one place the refund window is stated.
Lost your access code?
Your code is shown on this page whenever you have Premium here, and it is in your purchase receipt email. If you cannot find it, reply to your receipt email from the address you paid with, and access can be recovered from there.
